About the NZ Trenchless Industry Update
The NZ Trenchless Industry Update is a concise fortnightly newsletter for asset managers, engineers and council infrastructure teams. It is published by Pipe Technologies Limited together with ASOE NZ, pairing on-the-ground industry coverage with technical product expertise.

Our approach
This is written for the people who plan, fund, design and deliver New Zealand's pipe networks — asset managers, engineers and council infrastructure teams. It is not promotional fluff. Each item is kept to two to four sentences: what happened, why it matters, and where to read more.
Every news item carries a visible Source or Read more link that opens the original article in a new tab. Where a direct article URL is not available — for example a tender notice that expires — we link to the source organisation's homepage instead, so attribution is always present and verifiable.
What we cover
NZ council & utility pipeline projects
Infrastructure projects from councils and water utilities — Three Waters, Taumata Arowai, the Local Water Done Well framework, and new CCO activity such as Tiaki Wai and Waikato Waters.
Trenchless technology & contract awards (NZ)
Trenchless technology news, pipe rehabilitation projects and contract awards within New Zealand — who is delivering what, where, and with which method.
Regulatory & policy updates
Regulatory and policy developments relevant to water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure in New Zealand, summarised for asset managers and council teams.
ASOE product news & technical content
A dedicated section for ASOE product news, case studies and technical content — FFRP fully structural lining, layflat hose systems and installation guidance.
Australian news (selective)
Australian trenchless and water infrastructure news, included selectively — only where it signals a trend or technology relevant to the New Zealand market.
